Japanese honey bees are a native species of bees that have inhabited Japan since ancient times.

Unlike Western honeybees, which can be collected many times a year, Japanese honey can only be collected once a year. They are also said to be difficult to manage because they do not like to be kept by humans. For this reason, Japanese honey is highly scarce and accounts for only 0.1% of all honey sold on the market.

Japanese honey bees collect nectar from a variety of flowers, hence it is called "Hyakuhanmitsu," or "one hundred flower honey," and contains a large amount of pollen. As a result, it has a rich, matured, heavy flavor and a moderate acidity.

Glucose and fructose, which account for about 80% of honey's nutritional content, are effective in relieving fatigue. In addition, it contains a good balance of more than 150 kinds of nutrients that are good for the body, including vitamins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes, and polyphenols.
